Recipe: Healthy Cookie Dough Dip

Dessert Recipes, Dips + Sauces Recipes, Snack and Appetizer Recipes

This Cookie Dough Dip is a home run healthy dessert! You will never guess that this creamy sweet dip filled with chocolate chips is made from chickpeas. The rich and decadent dip is low-carb and gluten-free! And, if you’re really watching your sugar, there is even a sugar-free version of this recipe you can try. I like to dip graham crackers or apple slices into this dip for an afternoon snack. This healthy treat really satisfies your sweet tooth while giving you a nice serving of high-quality protein.

  • 1 1/2 cups chickpeas or white beans (drained and rinsed very well)
  • 1/8 teaspoon plus 1/16 teaspoon salt
  • Just over 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup nut butter of choice (If you use peanut butter, it will have a slight pb cookie dough taste)
  • Up to 1/4 cup milk of choice, only if needed
  • Sweetener of your choice
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips or raw chocolate chips
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons oats (ground flax will also work)

The video mentions, dates, however, the written recipe does not include dates. Would you please clarify the recipe? Thank you so much. Denise Kaehler
